WiMP offers an unmatched sound quality and is incredibly easy to use. You search for a song, click on it and it plays. We therefore see this as a good reason to drop the record collection at home, not least because users can carry WiMP with them. They can access it from multiple PCs and mobiles and they can also share it with their friends and send playlists back and forth. - says Peter Berg, Marketing Director at Telenor.

Aspiro has been working closely with Telenor since 2006, providing music solutions for both mobile and to PC. The first mobile download solution, with DRM-protection, was launched summer 2007. Since then Web-download shops have been launched with Windows DRM. Autumn 2008 the MP3 Web-shop was launched becoming the most comprehensive MP3 Music Store in Norway. WiMP was launched in Norway in February 2010, in Denmark in April the same year and most recently in Sweden in February 2011.
