Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ is here to answer the most frequent questions we receive from clients. Working with new and emerging technologies is both exciting and challenging, bringing many new words and expressions.
Do I need a mobile strategy?
For the majority of our customers, there is no need for a stand-alone mobile strategy. Our main advice is to implement a brand and marketing strategy that opens up for mobile tactics and activities. The key is how to utilize the mobile channel to build upon and support your existing business, adding more value to your business-critical activities. Our starting point is always:
- How the mobile channel can increase your revenues
- How the mobile channel can reduce your costs
How does mobile payment works?
Mobile and wireless content services has been growing since the beginning of 2000, and we strongly believe this market will continue its growth as a result of more advanced mobile handsets as well as a more educated audience. As consumers seek better services, one of the major trends is to be able to purchase products and services directly from their mobile devices. Aspiro Mobile Solutions allows you to sell your product and services directly to mobile subscribers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. We have established connections to all major carriers in Scandinavia and Baltics, enabling us to bill subscribers directly by SMS, MMS and WAP (mobile internet): we operate as a trusted partner handling all payment transactions. This gives you the opportunity to develop new services — or offer even easier and more convenient payment methods for your existing business.
What is a short code?
A short code is a 4-5 digit abbreviated phone number provided by carriers, similar to a regular phone number, but easier to remember for consumers — e.g. 1985, 2100 or 72102. These short codes are assigned to businesses by the carriers and enable consumers to send and receive SMS, MMS and WAP-Push messages.
